Focused on ounce-shaving construction but delivering far greater carrying capability than most packs in its weight class, the innovative Osprey Eja 48 Women's pack offers women streamlined performance for fast-and-light thru-hikes and weekend trips. Despite weighing less than 2.6 pounds even in its largest size, the pack comfortably hauls up to 40 pounds!
Committed to providing all outdoor enthusiasts with optimal performance, Osprey equips its women's packs with gender-specific design features. Harnesses are cut wider through the collar bone area and have an ergonomic taper in the chest area. Offering a women's specific cant and a narrower cut, the hipbelts found on Osprey's women's packs also cater to female users.
An ultra-lightweight 6065 aluminum frame combines with a 3D tensioned breathable mesh backpanel to equip the pack with support and ventilation. Seamless layered mesh on the Exoform shoulder harness and hipbelt provides comfortable padding at minimal weight. Further enhancing fit, the hipbelt utilizes an ErgoPull closure that draws tension along the top and the bottom of the belt. An adjustable sternum strap and load-lifter straps allow you to make on-the-go fine-tuning.
Accommodating female hikers with different dimensions, the pack is available in three sizes: Xsmall best fits torsos ranging from 14"-17" in length, Small accommodates torsos ranging from 16"-19", and the Medium best fits 18"-21" torso lengths. The storage capacity varies based on size, as well: Xsmall offers 2563 cubic inches, Small provides 2746 cubic inches, and the Medium has a 2929 cubic inch capacity.
The top-loading packbag is accessed through a removable, floating lid with dual zippered pockets. An integrated FlapJacket panel protects the main packbag if and when you aren't using the top lid. Stretch mesh pockets on the front and sides offer additional organizational options and keep gear and extra layers close at hand. A small dedicated stretch pocket on the shoulder strap is perfect for snacks, energy gels, or small electronics. Removable side compression straps aid in load transfer and allow you to cinch contents safely in place. Other features include an ice tool attachment loop, cord tie-off points, a small safety whistle integrated into the sternum strap buckle, and integrated, removable straps for lashing a sleeping pad. The pack is hydration system compatible (hydration system sold separately).
