The Special Forces 1 from Snugpak is a sleeping bag for temperatures above freezing. It has an incredibly light and small pack size, with a size of only about 16 x 16 cm when fully compressed. The Special Forces 1 offers all the benefits of the Softie range. The Softie® Premier filling combines the benefits of natural down with the insensitivity of synthetic fiber. It uses superfine yarns bonded with special resins to create a luxurious down feel. As a result, the synthetic fiber meets the very highest standards. Even in cold and wet weather, Softie® Premier insulation remains warm, lightweight and breathable. The wind and water repellent Paratex Steelplate outer material and Softie® Premier filling, make the sleeping bag insensitive to moisture. To speed up the warming of the sleeping bag, an additional layer of Reflectatherm is sewn in. Reflectatherm is a metallized, highly breathable fabric sewn between the inner fabric and the Softie® Premier filling. It reflects the heat radiation emitted by the body, achieving up to 15% better heat retention. A zipper with full-length insulated zipper cover; A mummy shape for warmth and comfort and a quilted, close-fitting hood with adjustable cord. All this ensures a comfortable night's rest, even when the temperature drops. The Softie 3 Merlin is durable, breathable and water repellent, it is incredibly lightweight and compresses small.
Snugpak's Special Forces 1 sleeping bag can be used on its own or combined with the Special Forces 2 to create a sleeping bag for temperatures as low as -15°C
